Company History

John Champagne started Champagne’s Propane in 1981.  He founded the business on hard work and determination.  The business was incorporated in 1985 and John continued to own and operate the business until his untimely death in 1990.  Ownership of the business was then transferred to the Millett family, who continue to own and operate the business to this day. The Milletts also established and incorporated Champagne’s Fuel Oil in 1997.
 
Champagne’s Propane and Champagne’s Fuel Oil merged into Champagne’s Energy in January 2000.  Champagne’s Energy is a full sales and service energy company specializing in Wholesale and Retail supply and delivery of Propane, #2 Fuel Oil, K-1 Kerosene, Diesel Fuel, and Gasoline in Southern Maine and Southeast New Hampshire.  Champagne’s Energy also specializes in appliance and equipment sales, installation, and service for residential, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, and construction customers.
